The Game Day Innovation Award from Evertrue recognizes Texas State University’s forward-thinking approach to donor engagement through the Presidential Football Suite Campaign.

The Division of University Advancement at Texas State University has been honored with the Game Day Innovation Award from Evertrue, recognizing the university’s forward-thinking approach to donor engagement through the Presidential Football Suite Campaign.

This award celebrates Texas State’s innovative blend of personalized digital outreach, and premium game-day experiences designed to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. The campaign combined custom video invitations featuring President Kelly Damphousse, First Lady Beth Damphousse, and Boko with exclusive hospitality in the Presidential Suite at UFCU Stadium.

Instead of relying on traditional invitations, Texas State embraced technology to create personal connections. Using ThankView and real-time engagement tracking, the university reached 183 high-level supporters across seven home games, achieving an 86.44% open rate and filling the suite for every game.

“This work exemplifies the power of creativity, technology, and collaboration—three elements that helped us deliver an unforgettable experience to our supporters,” said Brooks Hull, vice president for University Advancement.

The Presidential Football Suite experience also extended beyond the game itself. Guests received custom swag celebrating Texas State’s 125th anniversary, enjoyed field access for kickoff, and were greeted by Gold Star Society students, a group of distinguished Bobcats recognized for their leadership and character.

Inside the suite, guests were treated to themed menus, a carving station, specialty desserts like Boko’s River Half-Time Ice Cream Float, and the warm hospitality of the President and First Lady. These elements reinforced a sense of community and Bobcat pride.

This campaign exceeded attendance and engagement goals and set a new standard for donor engagement at Texas State, showcasing how innovation and thoughtful stewardship can build meaningful, long-term connections.
